Villas Mexiko

A large group of us stayed here for three nights for a friend’s wedding that was happening nearby. Overall 3.5/5 stars PROS: The hotel has beautiful views of the mountains and lots of greenery. We loved the massages as well as the Mezcal tour, and the sauna experience was very unique (and very hot watch out!). The staff was kind and accommodating(all inquiries had to be made in Spanish as they did not speak any English). The rooms were spacious and clean and had a private patio which we loved. We brought a lot of friends over to the hotel after the wedding and the staff did not complain about the noise level. CONS: It is worth noting that there is a rooster that crows continuously from 6 AM to 8 AM every morning making it almost impossible to sleep in. Additionally the breakfast is chopped fruit, pastries, and whatever dish the kitchen has decided to prepare for the day. While the food was always good and prepared fresh I would’ve appreciated more variety/ multiple choices in the menu. Also the pool was excruciatingly cold at all times of the day and never heated. You receive two tickets for free welcome drinks when you check-in however the bar is never open. Though they claim that the bar would be open from noon to 4 PM every day we had to remind the front desk multiple times for them to bring over a bartender to serve us drinks, and they are only able to serve beer and very basic cocktails. Once breakfast ends at 11 AM there is no place to buy food/snacks or drinks in the hotel, and the hotel is a 15 minute drive from downtown so you need to plan your meals and snacks accordingly.

Fuimos a una boda con mis amigos y nuestras parejas y el lugar estuvo muy lindo. El desayuno riquisimo en la mañana, la atención muy buena, hay internet starlink en un area donde no hay señal(lo cual es increíble) y los cuartos están amplios. Muy cerca del centro.

We booked a night at Villas Mexiko as part of a last minute trip to Tepoztlán and had a great time. The staff were helpful, attentive and made us a fantastic breakfast. The views of the surrounding hills are beautiful and made for a peaceful stay. Note that the accommodation is at the end of a lane and a bit set away from the town, so it may be best to come with a car.

Un lugar increíble para una escapada de la ciudad o celebración de eventos en grupo (familiares, empresas, etc). El terreno es muy amplio, un jardín hermoso, una alberca muy agradable y vista espectacular. Las habitaciones son cómodas y amplias, con buena luz. Recomendado para reservar todo en grupos grandes y privados. Está algo lejos del centro, pero ni ganas dan de salir, de lo agradable que está.

Excelente experiencia. El lugar es muy bonito, tranquilo y bien cuidado. Las habitaciones son cómodas y el ambiente se siente relajado desde que llegas. El staff fue muy amable y atento en todo momento. Ideal para descansar y desconectarte un par de días. Sin duda regresaría.

We loved our stay here so much. The beauty of the space, the convenience of the common area, the delicious breakfast and comfortable pool area made it a relaxing stay for us. For travel with toddlers, it would be better to have a fence around the pool, but otherwise was a great locale.

We reserved with Villas Mexiko for my wedding weekend, and it could not have gone any better! My entire family who was traveling from Canada and worried about coming to Mexico absolutely loved their stay. Jorge was the highlight of their weekend. He was so attentive and patient with everyone. The breakfasts were so well thought of and delicious! We felt at home, and never missed a thing. I also coordinated for a pool party with my wedding guests the day after. Villas Mexiko organized it all and really went above and beyond! It was absolutely perfect! From the moment I got in touch with them through WhatsApp, they were so helpful, answered all of my questions, they were flexible, and really went above and beyond in passing along contacts to certain providers for my wedding organization. They were the best, and can’t recommend them enough! The space was also perfect. We did a mezcal tour, as well as a Temazcal. My sister played tennis, and we used the pool! The rooms were really comfortable and gave everyone the privacy they needed. I would highly recommend booking family trips and events at Villas Mexiko!

Es un lugar verdaderamente especial. No es un hotel cualquiera; es como hospedarse en villas llenas de historia, rodeadas de jardines hermosos y muy bien cuidados. Todo el espacio transmite calma, tiene una energía muy familiar y se siente increíble desde que llegas. Las vistas son espectaculares y hacen que sea perfecto para desconectarse por completo, descansar y salir de la rutina. Es de esos lugares donde el silencio, la naturaleza y el entorno te invitan a bajar el ritmo y simplemente disfrutar. Nosotros lo rentamos para el evento anual de nuestra oficina, y la experiencia fue excelente. La atención fue impecable durante toda la estancia: cercana, cálida y siempre atenta a cada detalle, lo que hizo que todo fluyera de manera perfecta. A pesar de estar en una zona bastante alejada, pudimos trabajar sin problema gracias a que el internet funcionó muy bien, algo que se agradece mucho considerando que en la zona suele fallar. Además, suma muchísimo que cuenten con su propio mezcal y el tour que nos dieron, que fue una experiencia increíble y un gran detalle para el grupo. Un espacio único, ideal para desconectarte, recargar energía y disfrutar de Tepoztlán de una forma muy especial
